Uncover history, folklore, graffiti and street foods of the world in this scavenger hunt through Toronto’s most multicultural corner. Explore early Toronto architecture, haunted locales, vintage shops and ethnic markets – all while answering our tricky trivia questions.

Got a hankering for 1000 year old eggs? Rescue your tastebuds from blandness! Try exotic eats from the four corners of the globe. Go from chunky to flaky, grilled to piquant, and all the local, exotic, organic, and succulent foods that have made Kensington Market and Chinatown famous.

This is a two-in-one adventure: answer the tricky questions found on other Urban Capers scavenger hunts while noshing nibbles for extra points. Whether you’re a tastebud thrill seeker or working around dietary restrictions, there are options enough to satisfy you.

Tickets are $24.99 + HST per person. To ensure everyone is satisfied with the food choices, we point you to our favourites and you make the final choice of what to eat, so bring $10-15 per person for food purchases along the way. All you need to bring is an appetite and a digital camera (one per team).

Hunts take three hours, with some additional time beforehand for waiver-signing and instructions and afterwards for tallying the scores, for a total of 3 1/2 hours. Bonus points are given for most creative and clever team name, so start thinking!

This hunt takes place entirely outdoors, rain or shine. Please come prepared with a water bottle and comfortable shoes. You’ll be covering a lot of territory.

Our hunts are designed for adults. Some of the clues and references will be over kids’ heads and they can get frustrated. Participants as young as 11 have taken part with their parents and had a great time so at the end of the day, it is up to the parent / grandparent / guardian / cool aunt or uncle.

No, there will be a sign-in sheet for those registered. If you are transferring your ticket to another person, they must bring your ticket.
Once you have purchased a ticket for an event, our people go into action, printing off materials, lining up staff for the event day and purchasing admission tickets if a museum or other institution is involved. Because of this, we do not offer refunds. However, your ticket is transferrable. So if you can’t make it, you can give your ticket to someone else to bring to the event.
